• HALLE TONY GARNIER

Halle Tony Garnier is an emblematic Lyon venue. Located in the heart of the Gerland district, it offers a unique event space in a building steeped in history. A former pavilion at the 1900 Universal Exhibition and a masterpiece of industrial architecture, the Halle has been refurbished to become one of the largest modular spaces in France.

With its spectacular volumes and metal structure inspired by the great Parisian halls, Halle Tony Garnier combines historic character with modern facilities. It offers a total surface area of 17 000 m2 of fully modular space, ideal for hosting concerts, trade fairs, exhibitions, congresses, conventions, and sporting events.

Located in the immediate vicinity of public transportation (metro, tram, and bus) and major roads, the Halle boasts a wide range of services and amenities in the surrounding area: hotels, restaurants, parking lots, bars, green spaces, and sports facilities, at the heart of a dynamic district.

The Lyon Biodistrict accommodates international decision centres and a dense network of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and start-ups. It also includes research, university training, regulatory bodies, world health institutions, and bioproduction sites.
More than a business and science district, it is also a space for living and leisure with a pleasant and dynamic spirit, driven by a visionary urban project.

    FROM SCIENCE… TO LIFE

From basic research to marketing of products and services, the Lyon Biodistrict encompasses the entire life-science value chain, where the patient is invariably at the heart of the innovation strategy.
Thanks to its broad and inclusive position in the biotechnology and health sectors, the Lyon Biodistrict can rely on historical expertise in immunology and infectious diseases to support the development of new projects and technologies for the future.
The Lyon Biodistrict is the exemplification of an economic and urban project based on a multiple development approach: supporting the growth of companies, offering new infrastructures, enhancing urban quality and mobility, encouraging synergies with the academic world, and promoting the area as a prime destination for life sciences professionals.
