Mr. Stephen Piazza is Director of Advocacy at the Canadian Cancer Society, where he leads public affairs efforts to translate cancer research into improved prevention, access, and patient outcomes. A senior health policy leader, he has pan-Canadian experience advancing cancer policy, drug access, and health system reform through integrated advocacy spanning government relations, public relations, patient engagement, and coalition building. Mr. Piazza previously held policy and communication advisory roles in Canada’s federal parliament and provincial legislatures and has served in leadership roles across chronic disease prevention and tobacco control. He holds a Master’s degree in Political Economy and is accredited in Public Relations (APR).
