Professor Keefe is Chief Executive Officer of Cancer Australia, Australia’s national cancer agency. She is an academic medical oncologist with experience spanning clinical medicine, cancer research, health policy and system reform. She provides national leadership in cancer control and advises the Australian Government on strategies to improve outcomes, reduce health inequities and strengthen evidencebased, patientcentred care across the cancer continuum.

Professor Keefe has held senior leadership roles across government, health services and academia, including leading major state and national health reform initiatives. She is an internationally recognised authority in cancer supportive care, with more than 200 peerreviewed publications and extensive experience in clinical guideline development and translational research. She is the current Chair of the Governing Council of the International Agency for Research on Cancer.
