Dr Pietro Ferrari is the Head of the Nutrition and Metabolism Branch at the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) in Lyon, France. He is the co-PI of the European Prospective Investigation into Cancer and Nutrition (EPIC) study. His research covers aspects related to Nutritional Epidemiology, including the coordination of epidemiological investigations in multi-center studies, the assessment of the associations between dietary and other lifestyle factors and the risk of cancer. He worked on the development of ad hoc methodology for the analysis of complex sets of data involving lifestyle and molecular data in the investigation of cancer aetiology.
