Dr. Mary Nyangasi, MBChB; MPH, PGDip NCD Diplomacy, MSc

Mary Nyangasi is a Technical Officer, Cancer at the World Health Organization (WHO), based in Geneva, Switzerland, where she is the Technical Lead for the Global Breast Cancer Initiative (GBCI) and focal point for National Cancer Control Planning. In her current role, she supports countries in advancing strategies for early detection, diagnosis, and management of breast cancer to implement the GBCI framework.

Mary is a medical doctor with advanced training in public health and oncology. She holds an MBChB from the University of Nairobi, an MPH in Epidemiology and Disease Control from Kenyatta University, a postgraduate Diploma in NCD Diplomacy from Graduate Institute, University of Geneva and an MSc in Transformative Oncology from the University of Manchester.
