Eric Lucas is a Health Information Systems Specialist at the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC), where he works on the development, evaluation, and implementation of digital and data-driven solutions for cancer prevention and control. His current work spans artificial intelligence–based point-of-care tools for cervical cancer triage, cancer screening information systems including CanScreen5, and contributions to major international reporting efforts such as the European Union’s third cancer screening report. He is also involved in large-scale HPV prevention initiatives, including studies on single-dose HPV vaccination in India and Zambia, supporting evidence-based strategies to improve access, efficiency, and equity in cancer prevention worldwide.
