Dr Sarra EZZEMNI

Sarra Ezzemni, MD/MPH, is a postdoctoral scientist at the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC/WHO), specializing in global health, cancer prevention, and capacity building within the Early Detection, Prevention, and infections branch. Sarra holds a Medical Degree in general practice and a Master?s in Global Health from Université Claude Bernard Lyon 1, where she gained a solid foundation in public health research and global health policy. Her research focuses on advancing early detection, screening strategies, and addressing infection-related cancers, with a strong emphasis on translating these findings into actionable cancer control programmes worldwide. Her training in medical ethics and deontology guides her approach to equitable and culturally sensitive healthcare strategies. She has played a pivotal role in the Cancer Screening in Five Continents (CanScreen5) initiative, delivering training in countries such as Morocco and Japan to build local capacity for effective cancer screening. Sarra?s extensive teaching experience spans medical education and global health, including collaborations with Lyon 1 University and Shanghai Jiao Tong University. Additionally, she has conducted research at Harvard Medical School.
